Getting started
What is Bine?
Bine is a personal-shopping coordination platform operated by NZMade.com Ltd. A buyer can ask a local independent personal shopper, called a BineBee, to shop, check stock or collect an order.
Do I need to become a member?
You can browse public information without joining. A free Bine member account is required to submit and manage a request. Ordinary membership is immediate after you accept the member terms; it does not require approval.
Where can I see the complete instructions?
Services and orders
Which service should I choose?
Choose Shop for me when a BineBee will purchase products for you. Choose Stock Check when you only need a local person to visit a branch and report visible price or availability. Choose Collect & deliver when you have already paid the store and the order is ready for collection.
How can I add my shopping list?
Does Bine AI submit the order automatically?
No. Bine AI only prepares a draft from the words or image it can read. Check every product, quantity, pack size, variant, store and reference price. Edit anything necessary, then confirm the list and choose Check prices and see estimated cost.
Can I change my shopping request?
A saved request can be edited before it is published. After payment approval or BineBee acceptance, use the order conversation or Request an order change. Changes that affect products, quantity, deadline or price must be agreed before purchase.
How do I know what is happening?
Open My Bine and select the order. The order page shows the current stage, deadline, messages, payment status, receipt, final invoice and delivery progress. Detailed stages remain collapsed until you open them.
Are Bine and the stores business partners?
No, unless a page expressly says it is an official partnership. Bine and independent BineBees are not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by or endorsed by the stores and brands displayed on the platform.
Prices and payment
Is an estimate the final price?
No. The estimate helps set a shopping budget. The final product amount is based on the actual store receipt, plus the disclosed service, platform, packing and delivery costs.
Why is the approved budget higher than the estimate?
A shopping request may include up to 10% product-price flexibility so a BineBee can complete the list when normal store prices move slightly. The final payment still uses actual costs. Spending above the authorised limit requires further approval.
How does card payment work?
Card payment reserves the approved budget; it is not an advance payment to the BineBee. Shopping must finish within the displayed five-day card-hold period. After shopping, you review the receipt and final invoice, then the actual final amount is collected.
How does bank transfer work?
Bine must confirm the budget funds have arrived before the request is published. After the final invoice is approved, the actual amount is settled and any unused bank balance is recorded for return to the original payer.
What fees may appear?
A shopping order can include the actual products, BineBee service, Bine platform fee, agreed packing and the selected delivery or postage. Open the fee details before payment. A Stock Check and Collect & deliver use their separately displayed fixed charges.
When is the BineBee paid?
After the buyer’s final payment is verified, Bine creates a settlement record. Bine then transfers the product reimbursement, BineBee service fee, packing reimbursement and delivery reimbursement manually. A queued payout is not yet a completed bank transfer.
Delivery, postage and receipts
How is local delivery calculated?
For eligible BineBee delivery, Google Maps calculates the driving route from the confirmed store branch to the delivery address. The current rate is NZ$8 up to 5 km, then NZ$1.50 per additional kilometre, with a 20 km maximum and subject to the BineBee’s service area.
How is postage calculated?
Any postage shown before purchase is a planning estimate. Parcel size, weight, destination and rural status affect the actual carrier charge. The final invoice uses the supported actual cost or receipt.
Will I receive a receipt and final invoice?
Yes. The BineBee uploads the store receipt and confirms the actual costs. The buyer receives a complete final-payment statement. The BineBee receives a separate settlement statement that excludes Bine’s platform fee.
BineBees, safety and help
How do I become a BineBee?
First create a normal Bine member account. Then open My Bine and apply to become a BineBee. The application requires identity, address and contact evidence, background information and service areas. Bine reviews and approves applicants before they can accept work.
How do buyer and BineBee communicate?
Use the private conversation on the relevant order page. New-message notices are emailed to both parties. Keep product changes, quantity approvals and delivery arrangements in the order conversation so there is a clear record.
What if no BineBee accepts?
The request remains visible to eligible BineBees until its deadline or cancellation. Refund treatment depends on the service and whether work has already been accepted or completed. Stock Checks that are not accepted or completed by the deadline are refundable under the published terms.
