BINE MARKETPLACE TERMS
Clear roles. Independent local shopping.
Effective 19 October 2026 · Bine is operated by NZMade.com Ltd in New Zealand.
1. Bine member account terms
A Bine member account lets you request shopping, Stock Checks and collection or delivery services, follow progress, receive messages and keep order records. Membership begins immediately after registration and acceptance of these terms; ordinary members do not require platform approval.
You must provide accurate contact information, keep your login secure, use Bine lawfully and review order details before payment. Bine may suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate fraud, comply with law or address serious or repeated breaches. Material changes will be notified through the website or your account contact details.
2. What Bine provides
Bine is a personal-shopping coordination platform. It helps buyers create Shopping Requests, receive estimated costs, connect with a registered local personal shopper (a “BineBee”), keep receipts and arrange pickup, delivery or post.
NZMade.com Ltd operates the platform and charges the disclosed Bine platform fee. It does not manufacture or own the ordinary retail products described in independent BineBee listings.
2. Independent BineBees
Product finds are supplied by individual BineBees acting as independent local personal shoppers. The BineBee who publishes a product must personally confirm the store, Shopping Block, product identity, visible or known price, date seen, availability statement and information-valid-until date.
Bine and participating BineBees provide their paid services in trade. Nothing in these terms removes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under New Zealand consumer law.
BineBee applicant & service terms
A BineBee application is separate from Bine membership. Applicants must be at least 18, be legally entitled to provide the proposed services in New Zealand, provide accurate identity, residential address and contact evidence, describe relevant local experience, and accept these BineBee terms. Bine may request clarification, an interview, references or further checks. Submission does not guarantee approval.
Approved BineBees act as independent service providers, not employees, agents or retailer representatives. The real working relationship and applicable law always prevail over labels. Once a request is accepted, a BineBee must use reasonable care and skill, follow the agreed scope and deadline, communicate promptly, protect customer information and goods, retain accurate receipts, disclose conflicts, and obtain approval before substitutions or increased costs.
Bine may approve, decline, pause or withdraw BineBee access for safety, verification, quality, fraud, legal or material breach reasons. BineBees are responsible for their own tax, licences, insurance, vehicle suitability and expenses unless expressly stated otherwise. Identity and address evidence is private and never displayed publicly. Pending applicants cannot accept orders or publish a Finds Corner.
3. Store and brand names
A store or brand name is used only to identify where a buyer may ask a BineBee to shop, or to describe a genuine branded product. The retailer or brand owner has not created, approved or verified the Bine page or BineBee listing unless the page clearly says otherwise.
All store names, brand names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Their appearance does not imply a commercial relationship, agency, authorised reseller status or endorsement.
4. Product information
Each product card is independent shopping information, not a retailer advertisement or an offer made by the named store through Bine. It should identify the supplying BineBee, the observed store and Shopping Block, the reference price, availability wording, date seen or source, and the validity period where available.
Bine may help format a BineBee’s information, but the BineBee must check it before publishing. Retailer catalogues, receipts, shelf labels and public social posts may be used as reference sources; they do not create a partnership with Bine.
5. Prices, stock and estimated costs
Published prices and stock status can change without notice. They are reference information until a BineBee checks availability. An estimated cost is not the final retail receipt. The actual store receipt replaces estimated product prices.
If a buyer accepts a stated price-variation authority, a BineBee may purchase within that approved range. A higher amount requires the buyer’s further approval. Service, platform, delivery and postage charges are shown separately where applicable.
6. Orders, receipts and consumer rights
The order record identifies the BineBee service, Bine platform fee and product cost. Buyers receive the available store receipt or other purchase evidence. Returns, exchanges, product warranties and store remedies may depend on the retailer’s lawful policy and the nature of the purchase.
These terms do not contract out of the Fair Trading Act 1986, Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other mandatory right that applies. If information is wrong or a service is not provided with reasonable care and skill, contact Bine promptly so the responsible party and available remedy can be identified.
7. BineBee publishing duties
A BineBee must not imply that they or Bine represent a retailer or brand. They must not publish invented, stale or unverified prices; must identify special conditions, pack sizes and clearance limits; and must remove or update expired information. Sponsored or paid content must be clearly disclosed.
8. Stock Check service
A Stock Check is a paid visit by an independent BineBee to one specified retail branch, for up to five clearly identified products. Each size, colour or model combination counts separately. Standard service is NZ$10 plus a NZ$2.50 Bine platform fee (NZ$12.50 total); urgent service is NZ$15 plus the same platform fee (NZ$17.50 total). The platform fee includes GST. Payment is required before publication. A bank transfer must be confirmed by Bine before a check is offered to BineBees.
The buyer chooses a results deadline; urgent service is subject to a BineBee accepting that deadline. The BineBee records only visible shelf availability, countable visible quantities, readable shelf prices and the actual check time. On request, visible Best before / Use by dates and Batch / Lot numbers are copied as printed; hidden or unreadable labels are marked unable to confirm. Different visible dates or batches are recorded separately. No sealed packaging is opened and no back-room inventory, replenishment recommendations, freshness, food safety or quality assessments are provided. These observations do not represent total store inventory or every unit in a batch. Photos are supplied where permitted. A completed check is payable even if products are unavailable. Results are a time-specific observation, not a reservation or guarantee of later availability. Purchase, deposits, packaging and delivery are excluded and require a separate approved shopping order.
If no BineBee accepts, or the check is not completed by its deadline, the full prepaid total including the platform fee is refundable. Cancellation before acceptance also receives a full refund. After acceptance, cancellation or access problems must be reviewed by Bine; report a problem from the order page. Card refunds return through the original payment method and may take the payment provider’s normal processing time. Bank refunds are returned to the original payer’s bank account. BineBee service fees become due after valid completion; payout status is shown separately from the buyer’s payment status. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
9. Local delivery and prepaid store-order collection
BineBee local delivery costs NZ$8 for a store-to-recipient driving route up to 5 km, plus NZ$1.50 per additional kilometre, limited to 20 km and the accepting BineBee’s service area. Distance is calculated using Google Maps before payment approval. This is Bine’s own rate, not an Uber fare. Ordinary shopping orders keep their existing shopping service and platform fees, without an additional collection fee.
For Collect & deliver my order, the buyer must have paid the store and received confirmation that the order is ready for third-party collection. The total is NZ$10 collection, plus the calculated local delivery fee, plus one NZ$2.50 platform fee including GST. Only small loads fitting safely in the accepting BineBee’s available private-car space are eligible; no large items, bulk loads or special lifting. Only package count, outer packaging and visible labels are checked. Packages must not be opened, and internal contents, quality and function are not inspected.
Full delivery addresses, recipient contact details and pickup codes are shared with the assigned BineBee after acceptance. A quote locks the agreed route-based price for that order; taking a different route does not automatically increase the fee. Any extra charge requires prior buyer agreement. Unaccepted cancellations and deadlines missed before collection receive a full refund. Once goods are collected, the BineBee must keep them safe and arrange delivery or an agreed return; a delay does not automatically cancel custody or trigger a refund. Report problems to Bine. Existing authorised shopping orders retain their agreed delivery charges.
